Mackay City Couriers and Transport is the premier same-day courier, taxi truck and rigid crane truck business in Mackay. We have been serving the Mackay region continuously since 1985 and during that time we have based our business and our growth on our reliable, professional and friendly service.
Originally commencing as a pure courier business we have expanded our services to include Mackay's largest fleet and range of courier vehicles, taxi trucks, and crane trucks. More recently as a result of customer requests we have expanded into prime movers and extendable semi trailers. The larger fleet enables us to respond rapidly to all of our customers during the busiest of times.
Our versatile fleet of trucks, utes and vans do daily runs to Sarina, Airlie Beach, the Pioneer Valley, Dalrymple Bay, and throughout the Mackay region. Mackay's largest crane truck fleet
We have ten crane trucks: two 6x4 prime movers, one 4x2 prime mover, two 12-tonne trucks, five 8-tonne crane trucks with the longest deck being 8.8 metres, and a short deck 6-tonne truck for tight spaces. All of the trucks have the cranes mounted forward. Whether you just need some timber or steel delivered or you have an on-going need for a specific type of crane truck, we have the truck for you.
Semi-trailers
We have four 6x4 prime movers and one 4x2 prime mover with four semi-trailers with our largest triaxle trailer extending from 14 metres to 26 metres. One triaxle 12 metre trailer is fitted with a two tonne forklift on the rear of the trailer.

Our fleet includes a town car, utes, one tonne vans and a two tonne van. The size and variety of the fleet means that we will always be able to service your needs.
Contract distribution fleet
We undertake contract distribution for several major companies, frequently using a mixture of specialised and non-specialised trucks and courier vehicles. We will be pleased to provide quotes for your requirements.
Specialist fleet
Our specialist fleet is comprised of:
- one 20-tonne tallow tanker;
- one triaxle 12-metre trailer fitted with a 2- tonne forklift on the rear of the trailer;
- one triaxle extendable trailer which extends from 14 metres to 26 metres and three other extendable trailers; and
- one 2-tonne forklift.
We are always prepared to consider purchasing additional specialist equipment to enable us to fulfil a new contract.

Special deliveries to mines and other locations – 'hotshots'
Mackay City Couriers does special or 'hotshot' deliveries to mines in the coalfields or to any location that you want your consignment delivered to or picked up from. Whether it is collecting an urgently required part from the airport or your supplier and delivering it to your location contact us to discuss your hotshot delivery. All of our vehicles will deliver to any location.
Remote logistics, mine shutdowns, breakdowns
We have successful experience with both remote logistics and mine shutdowns providing time-certain deliveries with a variety of different sized vehicles – frequently in the same 24-hour period. We operate 24/7 using our variety of fleet to assist with mine shut-downs. Whatever your location is, we can service your requirements with our large varied fleet configuration.
Management team
We have a small but vastly experienced professional management team. The owner has over 30 years of senior management experience holding both national and state roles for national companies in road and rail general freight and also courier air freight. In addition our Administration and Operations manager has many years of experience managing her own successful transport company to complement her years of experience with Mackay City Couriers and Transport.
